<p>Do you have that “Barbie” body?</p>
<p>Well, seeing that 65% of the US is overweight or even obese it’s no wonder there is a hatred for this pressure to get into a body like Barbie.  The focus of the US has been in a superficial direction and we would like to help you rest at ease in this department.  We aren’t going to attempt to starve you or squeeze you into clothes that could fit on what seems at times, an emaciated plastic figurine.</p>
<p>However, we do realize that many of you struggle with weight gain and it’s a daunting task to figure out what “diet” will actually work.  First of all, I would like to suggest taking that word <span style="text-decoration: underline;">diet</span> out of your vocabulary, maybe replace with <strong><em>WELLNESS PLAN</em></strong>.</p>
<p>Being on a “diet” often frustrates people because the word alone implies a chore that has to be done-not usually something someone is excited to do.  Being on a diet typically works for a <span style="text-decoration: underline;">short duration</span> and not long term; which is excruciatingly  frustrating to anyone going through it.</p>
<p>A <em>Wellness Plan</em> is something that can be adopted over time, day in and day out that becomes a lifestyle, not a diet.  A Wellness Plan is something to get excited about and that you can feel great about; knowing it can have a lasting effect on a healthy life.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Virgin coconut  oil works wonders because it is made up predominantly of <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium-chain_triglycerides" target="_blank">medium chain  triglycerides (MCTs)</a> that burn up quickly in the body – a lot like  kindling in a fire rather than a big log.</p>
<p>Vegetable  oils, and especially soy oil, tend to be <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><em>damaging to the thyroid</em></span> gland  because they oxidize quickly and become rancid easily. Eating rancid  oils can contribute to impaired thyroid function along with a host of  other physical problems. A sluggish thyroid is one reason people say  they can’t lose weight, no matter what they do.</p>
<p>However, when people exchange vegetable oils for <strong>virgin coconut oil</strong> in their food preparation and begin consuming 2 to 3 tablespoons of  virgin coconut oil a day, they often report <strong>better thyroid function</strong>, an  i<strong>ncrease in energy</strong> and a <strong>drop in weight</strong>, provided they also avoid foods  high in carbohydrates, such as sugars, starches and most grains, until  they reach their weight loss goals.</p>
<p>Back in the 1930′s, a dentist named <a href="http://www.westonaprice.org/" target="_blank">Dr. Weston Price</a> traveled  throughout the South Pacific, examining traditional diets and their  effect on dental and overall health. He found that those eating diets  high in coconut products were healthy and trim, despite the high fat  concentration in their diet, and that heart disease was virtually  non-existent.</p>
<p>Similarly, in 1981, researchers studied populations of two Polynesian  atolls. Coconut was the chief source of caloric energy in both groups.  The results, published in the <em>American Journal of Clinical Nutrition</em>,<a name="_ednref2"></a> demonstrated that both populations exhibited positive vascular health.</p>
<p><strong>In fact,</strong> <strong>no evidence exists that the naturally occurring high saturated fat intake had any kind of harmful effect in these populations! </strong></p>
